EC6: Klāvs Veseļuns: Candidate for Executive Committee
Introduction
Hi! I am Klāvs, a 21-year-old green activist, queer, and environmental policy student. I have held positions at all levels in Protests, the Latvian Young Greens, and have experience working in the Progressives, the Latvian Green Party. My engagement in FYEG goes back to early 2021 and I have represented my member organization in multiple MO/Young Green Forums and GAs. I was also in the FYEG delegation to COP27 in Sharm El Sheikh, where I realized that I should take the next step and run for the EC.
As an activist from the Baltic States, I clearly see the increasing divide between the East and West member organizations and I believe that this is the biggest threat to FYEG currently. If elected, I will work on reducing this divide and make FYEG a place, where all member organizations feel included and listened to.
If you have any questions, feel free to message me on your platform of choice. I will be happy to answer them. See you all in Barcelona!
