Hello ! My name is Tom (He/Him), I am 24 years old and from France. I was born and grew up in Brittany, before moving to the region of Lyon. Growing up in rural territories is a huge part of my political identity: I experienced the lack of transports, the collapse of biodiversity due to human intervention and the scarcity of opportunities when it comes to education and jobs. The difference between these rural areas and the French capital, where I moved then to pursue my education, is striking.
I have been active as an activist in the francophone anti-ableism’s movement but also as a member of the Jeunes Écologistes. I have been the co-head of the disability group of the Jeunes Écologistes. I was lucky enough to be able to experience living abroad, as I took internships in Brussels and Vienna, and finished my bachelor degree in London. I became active in the FYEG by helping with translations, and helping with the mobilization of FYEGER’s during the French snap elections.
