At the last General Assembly, we had candidates whose candidacies were supported by their member organization, but they could not be explicitly endorsed for various reasons, e.g., the candidate being over the age limit to be in the organization. Although the member organization did not oppose them running as their candidates, the current process led to additional votes that were not necessarily needed, thus taking away time from the General Assembly. The two-thirds majority vote remains only in case the Member Organization wants to explicitly block a candidate from running.
