- Regarding Iran war: We would argue that the US is the actual superpower and the one in the driving seat here. Israel would not have done anything in this regard without it.
- Regarding Israel's actions in Gaza: we are not against critizising Israeli breaches of international law, but are uncomfortable with three points:
- Listing a state with 10 million inhabitants among the big imperial superpowers.
- Only pointing out Israeli breaches of law and not the ones of their adversaries.
- Categorizing the Israeli military campaogn in Gaza as genocide. We do not share that analysis and want to wait for the ruling of the ICJ.
- Regarding the first point of demands: that would not leave a lot of states to have ties with and include the EU's biggest trade partners (China, US). This demand is contradictory with the thirdteenth point, about using European trade relations as leverage against the death penalty. You cannot use economy as leverage (e.g. in negotiations with Israel about humanitarian improvements in Gaza) if you have no economic ties.
